Code of ethics / Sicuri, semplici, digitali.

Trust is designed.

The OpenLan code of ethics is not an abstract statement: it is the standard we use when urgency, technology and responsibility meet.

Our position

It is not enough for a solution to work. It must work in the right way.

OpenLan helps make IT, data and processes safer, more resilient and easier to govern. For us, the quality of a project is also measured by the transparency of the proposal, the protection of people and the ability to leave skills, documentation and control behind.

This Code turns our culture into observable behaviours. It applies to everyone who works at OpenLan and to anyone who represents us: employees, colleagues, suppliers and partners.

A recognisable way of working

Eight principles.
One shared responsibility.

Read the summary. Open each principle to see what it means in OpenLan practice: in proposals, projects, access and relationships.

When the choice is not obvious

Pausing for a moment is part of the work.

The Code matters most when time, pressure or interests make a choice less clear. In those moments we ask simple questions that are not negotiable.

  • Is it lawful and consistent with the commitments we have made?
  • Will the people involved really understand what we are deciding?
  • Are we protecting data, security, continuity and reputation?
  • Could we explain the decision to a client, colleague and partner?
  • If the answer is unclear, do we ask for support before proceeding?
The essential rule
Responsibility is not a brake on speed. It is what lets us go further without losing direction.

From words to actions

A Code is credible when it leaves evidence.

We document relevant decisions, verify what we deliver, correct what does not work and update our criteria as risks, rules and context change.

01

Ask

Question assumptions and involve the people who hold the relevant expertise or responsibility.

02

Protect

Safeguard client data, credentials, documents, systems and reputation.

03

Account

Leave evidence of choices, responsibilities, controls and handovers.

04

Raise

Bring doubts, incidents and inconsistent conduct to light, without fear of retaliation.

05

Improve

Learn from outcomes and change the way we work before an error becomes a habit.

A commitment that can be checked

Trust is not declared.
It is built, one decision at a time.
